Thursday night featured three exciting preseason NBA games that included a double-double performance by Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors.
Raptors down Pelicans
The Toronto Raptors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 134-119 on the back of Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam’s 21-point, 11-rebound double-double, Malachi Richardson had 21 points and three rebounds, Key Felder had 15 points, three rebounds and six assists, and Nigerian-American forward OG Anunoby finished with 15 points.
New Orleans were led by Anthony Davis with a 36-point, 15-rebound double-double, Julius Randle also had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Nikola Mirotic had 15 points, five rebounds and three assists, and E’ Twaun Moore ended the game with 12 points.
Jazz take Sacramento
Great team effort by the Utah Jazz saw them hand the Sacramento Kings a 132-93 blowout. Rudy Gay had 18 points and seven rebounds, Alec Burks had 17 points, Grayson Allen had 14 points, Donovan Mitchell had 13 and three assists, while Derrick Favors ended the night with an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double.
Rookie Marvin Bagley III led the Kings with 17 points and eight rebounds, Willie Couley-Stein had 16 points, Justin Jackson had 12, and Harry Giles III ended the night with 12 points, three rebounds and three steals.
Clippers beat Maccabi
The Los Angeles Clippers beat Haifa Maccabi 124-76 on Boban Marjanovic’s 18-point, 12-rebound double-double, Danilli Galinari and Montrezl Harrell both had 12 points and four rebounds, while Tyrone Wallace put up 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Roman Sorkin led Maccabi with 12 points and three rebounds, Daniel Koperberg had 10 points and seven rebounds, Lucas Hausman also had 10 points and Josh Childers ended the game with nine points and three rebounds.
