NBA Daily Wrap: Raptors maintain hot streak

The offseason changes at the Toronto Raptors seem to be paying off as the team is now 11-1 after Wednesday night’s victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Raptors stay hot

The Toronto Raptors are now on a five-game streak after beating the Sacramento Kings, 114-105. Kawhi Leonard had a 25-point, 11-rebound double-double, Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam added 21 points and three rebounds, Kyle Lowry notched 16 points and eight assists, while Congolese forward Serge Ibaka finished with a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double.

Willie Cauley-Stein led the Kings with 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Buddy Hield had 24 points, four rebounds and three assists, and De’Aaron Fox ended the game with 20 points and four assists.

Lakers tame Timberwolves

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 114-110, on the back of LeBron James’ 24-point, 10-rebound double-double, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart both had 21 points, while Brandon Ingram finished the game with 20 points, five rebounds and six assists.

Derrick Rose led the Timberwolves with 31 points, three rebounds and five assists, Jimmy Butler had 24 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals, and Andrew Wiggins put up 19 points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Jazz down Mavs

A 23-point game from Donovan Mitchell helped the Utah Jazz beat the Dallas Mavericks, 117-102. Alec Burks had 18 points, Rudy Gobert contributed a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double, and Jae Crowder scored 14 points and six rebounds.

Dallas were led by rookie Luca Doncic with 24 points and six rebounds, Harrison Barnes had 14 points and five rebounds, and Wesley Matthews ended the night with 13 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Pelicans beat Bulls

The New Orleans Pelicans beat the Chicago Bulls, 107-98, on Anthony Davis’ 32-point, 15-rebound double-double, Jrue Holiday also had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Julius Randle and Wesley Johnson both scored 12 points.

A 29-point, 20-rebound double-double from Hassan Whiteside helped the Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs 95-88, the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Indiana Pacers 100-94 on Joel Embiid’s 20-point, 10-rebound double-double, Andre Drummond had 23 points and 19 rebounds in the Detroit Pistons’ 103-96 victory over the Orlando Magic, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 95-86, the New York Knicks notched a 112-107 win over the Atlanta Hawks on the back of Tim Hardaway Jr’s 34 points, and Jaren Jackson Jr had 20 points in the Memphis Grizzlies’ 89-87 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
